Dr. Parajuli Honored for Leadership in Palliative Care
Jyotsana Parajuli, PhD, MGS, RN, an Assistant Professor at the UNC Charlotte School of Nursing, has been named a recipient of the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Foundation (HPNF) 2025 Emerging Leader Award. This prestigious recognition highlights Dr. Parajuli’s significant leadership and dedication to hospice and palliative care nursing early in her career.
The HPNF Emerging Leader Award is presented to outstanding hospice and palliative care nurses who exemplify excellence and commitment to advancing care in this essential field. Dr. Parajuli’s dedication to improving patient outcomes and her contributions to the profession make her a deserving recipient of this honor. Dr. Parajuli will be honored at a virtual celebration event, where her accomplishments will be highlighted during the the 2025 AAHPM Annual Assembly, scheduled for February 2025 in Denver, CO.
As part of this recognition, Dr. Parajuli will receive a one-year membership with the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association (HPNA), as well as, a personalized plaque and pin to commemorate her achievement.
