Shaping the Future of Patient Care: Niner Nursing Earns National Top 50 Distinction

Great news for Niner Nation! UNC Charlotte’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing program has officially joined the ranks of the nation’s top 50 public university nursing programs, placing No. 47 publicly and No. 75 overall in U.S. News & World Report’s 2027 rankings.

Through a powerful combination of classroom learning, hands-on clinical practice, and internationally recognized simulation programs, Charlotte nursing students graduate ready to make an immediate impact on patient care and community health.

“This recognition reflects the strength of our nursing faculty and their commitment to preparing students for the responsibilities of patient care,” said Yvette Huet, Dean of the College of Health and Human Services.

With UNC Charlotte also celebrating its fourth consecutive year as a top 100 national public university, the School of Nursing continues to lead the way in academic excellence and value.
