Members of the UNC Charlotte School of Nursing’s simulation team recently attended the 2025 International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning (INACSL) Conference held in Denver, Colorado. This annual gathering brings together simulationists, educators, researchers, and clinicians from around the globe to share innovations and best practices in clinical learning and simulation.

During the conference, UNC Charlotte School of Nursing professors Kelly Powers, PhD, RN, CNE, FNAP and Katherine Shue-McGuffin, DNP, MSN, APRN, FNP-C each presented individual posters highlighting their current work in simulation education. Additionally, they co-led a concurrent session, further contributing to the advancement of nursing simulation on a national stage.

The conference provided a valuable opportunity for the team to build meaningful connections with colleagues at the local, national, and international levels. These interactions have opened the door to new ideas and collaborative opportunities that will further strengthen and enhance the School’s simulation program.

Congratulations to our simulation team for their outstanding representation and continued commitment to excellence in nursing education.
