Dr. Jyotsana Parajuli Recognized as a 2025 Distinguished Educator in Gerontological Nursing
Dr. Jyotsana Parajuli, Assistant Professor in the UNC Charlotte School of Nursing, has been named one of the recipients of the 2025 Distinguished Educator in Gerontological Nursing Award from the National Hartford Center for Gerontological Nursing Excellence (NHCGNE).
This national recognition honors nursing educators who demonstrate an exceptional commitment to advancing gerontological nursing education, mentoring future nurses, and improving the care and quality of life of older adults. Recipients of this award are recognized for their leadership, teaching excellence, and efforts to promote innovation in gerontological nursing education and practice.
Dr. Parajuli was formally recognized during a virtual ceremony held in October as part of the NHCGNE Annual Conference, where nursing educators and leaders from across the nation gathered to celebrate excellence in gerontological nursing.
Her recognition highlights the UNC Charlotte School of Nursing’s ongoing commitment to preparing nurses who are equipped to meet the complex health needs of an aging population.
