Rebekah Overcash, MSN, RN, RNC-OB

Rebekah Overcash, MSN, RN, RNC-OB has over 27 years of dedicated nursing experience, including 22 years specializing in maternal-newborn nursing. During her years as a bedside nurse, she learned that she has a passion for teaching newer nurses about obstetrics and labor support techniques. After receiving an MSN in Nursing Education, Overcash transitioned to the academic world where she found a new love for teaching undergraduate nursing students at UNC Charlotte. She strives to bring real life learning to the classroom by using active learning strategies. Nothing brings her greater joy than working alongside nursing students and watching them learn, gain confidence, and grow into compassionate professionals. To further support her nursing students’ journey, she is proud to serve as a co-founder of the School of Nursing’s Peer to Practice mentoring program.
Mrs. Overcash is nationally certified in Inpatient Obstetrics and continues to work at the bedside PRN.
