Susan Lynch, PhD, RN, CNE
Currently serving as the Associate Director of the Undergraduate Programs, Susan Lynch, PhD, RN, CNE oversees the facilitation of both the upper division prelicensure and RN to BSN curriculums. Dr. Lynch has worked in nursing education since 1997, since her MSN graduation at both the university and community college levels. Clinically, after earning her BSN in 1989, Dr. Lynch has worked in burn and trauma, intensive care, mental health and hospice and palliative care.
Research foci have involved family caregiving, burnout, hospice and palliative care, quality matters, and higher education research. Lynch has mentored faculty, doctoral and undergraduate honor student projects that address hospice and palliative care, burnout, pain management, and student success. She serves on various professional nursing groups including various involvement with the North Carolina Nurses Association and the South Piedmont Area Health Education Center advisory board.
