UNC Charlotte School of Nursing Rises to No. 21 for Online Master’s in Nursing Programs

UNC Charlotte’s Online Master’s in Nursing program has climbed to No. 21 in the nation in U.S. News & World Report’s 2025 Best Online Programs, advancing five spots from its 2024 ranking.
The rankings are based on performance across five key areas: engagement, faculty credentials and training, peer assessment, services and technologies, and student excellence. This recognition underscores the School of Nursing’s dedication to providing exceptional education and fostering student success.
A recent $2.4 million funding boost has facilitated the expansion of enrollment, the launch of the Accelerated BSN program, and significant upgrades to the Learning Resource Center. These upgrades include advanced tools such as high-fidelity simulators and VR technology.
In addition, the university has earned national notoriety for its online education offerings, tying for the No. 3 spot on U.S. News & World Report’s 2025 Best Online Bachelor’s Degrees rankings. This ranking highlights the quality of UNC Charlotte’s 10 fully online bachelor’s degree completion programs, including our fully online RN-to-BSN Completion Option, which is designed for students with prior college credit.
