The UNC Charlotte School of Nursing is leveraging its commitment to providing holistic care and advocacy to building strong community-academic partnerships in Charlotte and across North Carolina. Achieving the vision of compassionate health care necessitates academic and community partnerships that promote multidirectional learning and collaborative innovation, beyond disciplines, geographic boundaries, social backgrounds.

Atrium Health

Health care system with multiple clinical sites for students in undergraduate and graduate school of nursing programs; currently working on Scholars Program with the school of nursing. The partnership includes clinical sites for CRNA and AGACNP programs.

Cabarrus Health Alliance

Partnering with the school nurse program to provide clinical experiences for the school of nursing undergraduate students in the community health rotation.

Care Ring

Charitable free clinic for Mecklenburg County. The partnership includes the use of a Mobile clinical van for site-based care partners with the school of nursing FNP program to provide clinical sites for students.

CaroMount Health

Clinical sites and preceptorships for students in graduate school of nursing programs.

HopeWay

HopeWay is a clinical site for the School of nursing undergraduate Behavioral Health Clinical Rotation.

NC MedAssist

Partnering with them to provide a clinical site for the school of nursing undergraduate community health rotation and to assist with research on the benefits of a free pharmacy program.

Novant Health

Healthcare system with multiple clinical sites for students in undergraduate and graduate school of nursing programs; New partnership in 2023 for NC AHEC Grant Funded Clinical Instructor Partner program for undergraduate clinical faculty at Presbyterian Medical Center.

Rebound Behavioral Health

Residential behavioral health center that provides clinical site for the school of nursing undergraduate behavioral health clinical rotation.

South Piedmont AHEC

Regional partner who provides grant funds for clinical site development and other initiatives; currently partnering with South Piedmont AHEC to provide simulation lab space for their RN Refresher students.

Taylor Glen

Senior residential center that provides assisted living and long-term nursing care. Partnering with them to provide a clinical site for the school of nursing undergraduate community health rotation.
