School of Nursing Alumni Council

UNC Charlotte’s School of Nursing Alumni Council encourages alumni participation within the University to strengthen the community of future nurse leaders. The council meets quarterly, holds events throughout the year, and recognizes graduates with a Distinguished Alumni Award.


Selected by the School of Nursing Alumni Council, the School of Nursing Distinguished Alumni Award recognizes alumni of the UNC Charlotte School of Nursing who have demonstrated leadership, outstanding career achievements, and enhanced the mission of the University and/or School.

Nominations for the 2025 School of Nursing Distinguished Alumni Awards are now open!

All alumni of the School of Nursing are eligible for an award; however, a person must be nominated to receive consideration.

The nomination form is designed to collect only the most basic information about the nominee.  In order for a nomination to be considered complete, this form must be accompanied by the following: 

  1. Nomination form submission
  2. Nominee’s resume
  3. One letter of recommendation
  4. Two supporting documents
